This is the bone I made for my dog Keats. Unfortunately he wouldn't sit still long enough for a photo but he does play with it - honest! The template will follow. I have a sister blog that discusses lots of different crafts and on that blog (elliesimaginaryfriend.blogspot.com) I will put the template on as a cutting file for those with an electronic cutting machine. On this blog I will endeavour to put templates on as PDF's if I can figure it or my scanner allows.

Just seconds after taking the photos of the chick this happened;

... Keats believes that every toy is his undoubtedly.

This is something that I have made from scratch myself. I designed the pattern and sewed it with a mix of machine and hand sewing. I used felt as it is a medium I am used to from all those starter kits that you hand sew at Christmas and let's face it felt is cheap and quite forgiving. I hope to put the pattern on the blog soon via a link as soon as I am able to get the scanner working. I aim to put the templates/patterns of what I make on my blog to download for free where possible. I hope you like the Easter chick (oh my already thinking of Easter!).

Hi, my name is Lore. I have just started sewing and I'm already hooked! I hope to use this blog to connect with people and share our journeys into the world of sewing.  hope to share my disasters as well as successes and share what I am learning as I go along and maybe hopefully some people may share their tips and tricks. For me design is a huge part in my enjoyment of whatever I craft form I explore and I am enjoying making my own (basic!) templates and patterns as I go along. So here is to starting my sewing diary.
